As they walked to the nearest restaurant (actually, it was more like they waddled there, since both of them were definitely weighing two-hundred and fifty pounds by now and still getting fatter), they noticed a bunch of people in distress. Everyone couldn't figure out why they were all getting fatter and it eventually turned into panicked hysteria with people running (or trying to run), people calling for help, and people just plain crying.
"Do you think we should help all these people?" Karyn asked. "If you wish that they'll all accept what's happening ..."
"I don't know. I thought that the wish would already make them accept it, but I guess I wasn't specific enough. Burp!" He looked slightly embarrassed. "Sorry."
"Hey, you're the one that wanted everyone to freely burp and fart. Be sorry for the wish, not what you just did," Karyn said, while picking her nose. "I still don't know why you'd make a stupid wish like that."
"It's not stupid. I was just ... curious, that's all. I mean, come on, it's not that bad. Everything will be back to normal in a year."
"A year is a long time, Jon. Why not make it a month, or a week? Or how about a day? Burp!"
"I just wanted to see what it would be like over a long period of time, that's all."
Karyn sighed, then burped again. "So are you going to make everyone feel better about their new weight gain or not?"
