I had a chance to decide whether or not to accept the parameters set. I didn't even look at the menus again. There were no other changes I wanted to make. It was time to get going and play the game. I was surprised as my body morphed. The mirror let me see my whole body at once. It was not that strange. I always had this type of body. Taking a few steps was exciting. I did things like this often and I loved it. I looked around and saw a door. I walked to it and put my hand on the knob. A popup appeared in front of me saying "You are leaving the character creation room. You will not be allowed to return here again. Are you sure you wish to leave?". I knew that lots of time had already passed. I wanted to hurry and find Suzie. I turned the knob and opened the door. It was a bright white light I could not see through. I guessed I was supposed to walk just through it to get to the game. I did and continued on for what felt like 10 seconds. The world needed to load, I guessed. My eyes blinked twice and I was suddenly in an alleyway. l walked out to the street. I looked around for 5 minutes.

Nobody approached me when I stood there. It was dark and evening time. My head was on a swivel. Getting my bearings was easy to do. I could walk up and down the alleyway. Jogging, running and sprinting was a very easy task for me as well. The game engine was very intuitive when it came to the full body immersion. I could feel a subtle sea breeze coming from the coast. So far, Future of Gaming was earning every penny that was spent. There was a euphoric feeling that rose in me whenever I was in a new world. It just felt nice to be somewhere and someone new. I was getting that feeling here too. That was nice. I let out a whoop of enthusiasm. I covered my mouth as I did not really want anyone to hear that. I was a bit embarrassing. It also could drag attention to me from negative mobs. I was a very squishy Level 1 Player with no weapons or spells to defend myself with. If I was to get in a fight right at this moment, I would be forced to only use my fists and feet. Punches and kicks were not very effective at my level. If they had weapons or armor of any type, I was totally screwed.

This setting did not track at all with what I was told by Suzie or what I had read myself in the developers' blogs. The streets had cars driving by and the people on the streets were wearing modern clothes that I saw in the real world. I had to look at the menu and look at where I was. When I saw that I was in an entirely different world, I was upset. "Shit! Where the hell am I then!?" I said as I bit my thumbnail. I looked again and saw that I was in the world of Kittia. I now had to check the menu and learn more about myself. I apparently was a Fisherman. When starting in a "realistic" setting, the way one would level up was very different than in a big fantasy setting. You cannot just get a weapon and wander beyond the city limits hoping for mobs to spawn. Police will be called on you if your actions startle the sensibilities of the general public. They were strong at the start and scaled up based on the Player in question. You had to find ways to go advance in the game with your normal means. In the real world, people had jobs and passions. If you wanted to be a fighter, you better go join a gym.
