To add insult to injury, Pass 01 and Pass 03 agreed to ride together. Star 01 would now be the one piloting with Fighter. The next day marked the beginning of the week break where all of the AEP units could travel to do as they pleased. It was a reward for them for being so eager and earnest in this process. Paul Brett and I also wanted to drag this out a bit more. We were going to trigger the late game. We had triggered the mid game as well. It was best to be cautious here. We did not want any Sage attention now. After how far we had come, that would be a shame. Connie, Peyton, Ashton, Lola, Riley and Kendall left with Champion and Fighter. They had a van all to themselves. I told Fighter to be very attentive to Champion. He nodded before getting in the van. Sterling and Ashley wanted to go to the zoo and look at the animals there. They also specifically asked that their sires go with them. Alex, Ryder, Sparks and Cecil were told to accompany them. None of them were very excited for the trip out of town. Tracie and Barbara wanted to go to Neo-Rutten City with me to see a concert.
Music events were not really my thing, but it seemed like they got curious about it seeing it on the news. As Researcher AEP units, they got taken with their big interests easily. It was the reason that Connie and Peyton were out so often, playing and exploring the town with their siblings. The fact that Tracie and Barbara were sharing this with me was special. We went in a car and Tracie was driving. When we got to the city we checked into a hotel. The cyborgs thought that I needed to sleep. That was cute of them. We hung out, going where they wanted to go. Halfway through the week was the actual concert. It was fun standing in the mosh pit. It was a black metal band. We were soon beset on all sides by people that had no regard for human life. They just wanted to smash together and fight. Most of them were cybernetically enhance. The 3 of us had fun beating the shit out of all of them while the music played. It was the perfect background music as we destroyed all opponents that dared to challenge us. After the concert, the band invited us backstage. We got to talk, and it was cool.
After that, it was time to make it back to Dwan Town. We got back with a day to spare. Robin was getting ready to perform at the Red Grind as the main act again. We all got to watch him. It was a classic strip tease, but it was perfect in its execution. He received a standing ovation from the crowd. He stood there with pride and puffed out chest. I was happy for Robin. The next day, the others that had gone out for their break had come back to us. All of them looked pleased with themselves. Christopher and Aubrey had always been in town. They were searching for love. They did not look like they found it yet. Star 01, Beer 01, Pump 01, Pass 01 and 03 all returned from their clans. All of the AEP units and Champion went to the Foundry. They were going to be designing them and then building them. It could take a while before they came back to us again. To fulfill my promise to Pump 02 and 03, I went to their clan. There were 3 gas pumps and 2 electric charging stations for cars. The also had a small store. There was a wooden trap door in the back of the storage room. I went down with them.
