Reaching the surface, we saw that Paul and Brett had been fighting a horde of PEP units. They seemed to be stumbling around now, however. "It was weird. One minute they were hostile and charging us. The next minute, they stopped and looked confused before looking around." I told them about the allegiance change of the hub. "That must be it. After it turned, it told the others to cool it because it was now on our side." Brett said. I just nodded my head. I was more focused on the X-frames lying around. I pulled over 2 PEP units and said "Here you are. You can use these if you can fix them. Once you do, restart the Water Clan." They were surprised, but the high allure of getting their hands on an X-frame made them instantly agree. Paul and Brett were fine with it. Since we were on a roll. I asked if they wanted to hit the bank that housed the Toxic transmission hub. Toxic Clan had also wronged us by sending an AEP unit to get that bounty. They definitely wanted to keep the carnage going. I got the AEP units together. I had an energy pack for them to use. I wanted them all battle ready.

Because we had been so betrayed by 06-001 and 12-004, they had fled our clan building. We never got Chad or Greta back, so I assumed that they were killed. It also put them on our hit list. The alliances we had were null and void now. If we could blitz them all, that would bring us to 6 transmission hubs. It would put the Researchers on top also. Once the PEA units were all charged up, we got in the van. It was up to the new Water Clan to clean up the mess. I did not want to do it. Honestly, neither did Paul or Brett. We drove all the way to the banks. That took days-in game. It was more than enough time for the word to spread to the whole cyborg world. Heat Clan was trying to get in contact with us, but we ignored all of their calls. Once we got to the bank We took out the big guns and went in violent right away. It was a large hassle for Toxic Clan to respond as the previous fight for their hub left them with severe casualty numbers. For us, it was a matter of picking them off. They could add to their numbers by recruiting low tier units all they wanted, but it just made them easier to kill.

Once we got through the lobby, the ornate iron teller's gate separated us from the stairwell downstairs. We were going to need either the key or some explosive to take it out. There were members of the police force showing up and random PEP units due to the alarm of the transmission hub. It probably would not be that far off from when the syndicate got here to wreak even more havoc. Connie and Tracie both had air cannons. Connie's was in his stomach and Tracie had his on his back. Together, they were able to blast that gate to weaken it. It was the implosion bomb provided by Ashley that brought it down. I praised all 3 of them. They looked happy to be affirmed by me in that way. We went through the gate and walked over to the stairs. Paul and Bret stayed behind to cover us. We went down and saw the bank had secrets. There were only vaults for security deposits down here. There was another level below somewhere we just had to find it. It was robin who found the latch to open the manhole cover. A ladder was going down into darkness. 3 Toxic Clan AEP units were at the bottom.
