Now that he was here, we had to make it to the roof. Brett said "I'll hold them off! Get them on the helicopter! I'll be right behind you." Peyton ran behind the desk and pushed a button. It opened a secret hallway. One of the blue doors led to a small staircase. It went to the roof. We ran for it, and I could feel the wind on my skin. It was a matter of looking at the sky for the helicopter coming our way. I summoned a pillar of fire to show where we were on the roof. They saw it and came closer. I turned back to the empty stairwell. I yelled "Brett! They're here!! C'mon!!" We then hurried towards the helicopter. There was a helipad on the roof. They landed on it and the doors opened up. Paul was there motioning to us. "Let's get the fuck out of here!" he said over the roar of the engines. I nodded. The AEP units and I all made it and made sure that Erin and Finian were secured. It was a futuristic red and blue black hawk helicopter. As we were boarding, we saw Brett burst out from the stairwell. He waved his wand at the door and large vines appeared to block it. He then walked over triumphantly.

We told him to hurry up. He made his way over a bit faster and got on. Once he was strapped in, Greta and Paul got the helicopter in the air. We were all pretty hot right now when it came to police attention. Luckily, we had a big place we could go hide. Dysthymia Row was known for being a massive lawless area of the city. If we made it there and laid low, we would be fine. Radioactive Clan was also there. That was where we flew. We knew better than to simply land on their hospital roof. We landed in a field a few blocks away from Dsythymia Row. We had to run from the cops and make it through the rough and tumble neighborhoods and gang territory. It was easy for the ones who had been there. Once we got to the hospital we stayed in the lobby. After a bit, a PEP unit from the clan showed up to ask what we wanted. Since we were there to lay low, they sent us to the clinic. That was the safehouse of the region. We let them take care of Erin and Finian. In the meantime, we were just walking around and seeing the life of the residents of the area. It was a sad existence to be very honest.

It did help that we had company. Tracie and Barbara were here for me. Brett and Paul had the clinic workers. We got to see Radioactive Clan as well. Dylan insisted on following us around on the street. Dylan seemed attached to me because I drove him during the convoy. He was still a surly boy though. When people came up to us, the one who determined who could approach us on the street was Dylan. He was a big shot in the area. No one messed with us while he was here. "The humans here don't cause too much trouble. You still have to look out though. A few will try to steal to eat or get drugs." I nodded my head. Dylan was looking at Tracie and Barbara. He saw how close I was with them. Since we were so close, I had my arms on their waists as we walked. They did not mind at all. I decided to spend some time looking around to see what the public was doing. They were going to a party in some house. There was a makeshift dance floor. A DJ was freestyling to the beats and getting the crowd going. It was good. It was not what I normally listened too, but I was getting hyped up.
