With that being the case, I let him get back to it. I told them about the hostility of Water Clan. Brett cheered. Mason and I looked at him like he was crazy. "We actually do get to fight one of the clans now. That's great! Paul can stay where he is and fuck. We got to go and bring the fight to them." he said with a smile. I shrugged. "Fine. Let's get back there and fuck them up. I think we can also take their hub over too, right!?" I offered. Robin perked his head up and said "You can't do that so easy. You need at least 3 AEP units to change the allegiance of a transmission hub." If that was the case, we would need to find some more to come with us. Robin was alone in the lab. I knew that I could probably count on Tracie and Barbara to come along if I said I wanted them to join me. I called them up and they were ready. Aside from Robin, all of the AEP units in our clan were out with 06-001 and 12-001 on a huge field trip to a mission involving an android factory. It was a ploy to keep them from joining the fight when the Magnetic Clan AEP units all attacked us. I only told them to keep their eyes peeled.
Since he could pick up on my hesitation, Tracie asked me more questions. I told him everything, but to keep it a big secret aside from Barbara, Peyton, Connie, Sterling and Ashley. Basically, if some shit went down, they would be a full squad to deal with it. That left out Aubrey and Christopher, but 06-001 had his claws deep in them. I did not know what they would do if they knew. "In any case, make sure you come back as soon as possible. Stay safe out there." I told him before hanging up the phone at last. I guessed that all we could do now was wait for them. I looked at Robin. "What are you doing?" I asked him. He said "I was looking for a mission to take. I did not want to go so far." "Did you find one?" Brett asked. Robin said "Nothing much. We just need to keep sabotaging the androids. All the things that brought them here makes it a huge target to attack their base and units." "Want to go out for a bit!? We can take out their charging station at the police station." I offered. He looked at all of us and said "Mason is not a good match for this task." We all looked at Mason. He balked.
Mason said "I didn't want to go to the stupid police station anyway! You guys know that I am still a wanted fugitive, right!? If I got flagged by a human cop, I would be sent straight back to a max security prison. Maybe even full-on death sentence." I had almost forgot. Brett pat him on the shoulder. "You can't come, so you can stay here and keep the fort." he said. Robin took the mission and Brett and I were going to accompany him. We made our way to the police station, and I was pissed. It was the female cop that was very angry with me last time. She was still on the force. Nathan had not fired her after all. She cursed me out. Worse than that, she was the one at the front desk. We were also gathering a scene to us. Robin facepalmed at the situation. Brett was looking from her to me in absolute bewilderment. Even some androids were beginning to mock me. I just glared at her and said "Fine! I came here to see the chief. Whatever you have to say is not important. Shut the fuck up already!" She just sat back and smiled. "'Chief' Nathan has been replaced. Same with Erin and Finian." she said.
