Obviously, we would have to be there to extract the chip from their corpse before we could bring them back in a new body. It was also a good thing for the AEP units that were getting fucked. With the chips in their bodies, they could take the best attribute of the PEA and boost their own efficiency 10%. With 3 inside them, it was possible for an AEP unit to get a 30% buff to a stat. The bonus nanites was good too. I had 9 AEPs with me and a lab full of PEA units that were not aligned with any clan. We did not need them. They were just sent here to be here. Aside from Heat Clan, we were the only lab open. They had nowhere else to go. Except for Keith's kids. They left with him every evening to come back in the mornings. In the time I was away, he was able to see 2 children reach maturity. The third was still a bit young, so she had to continue coming to the lab. The others were all ready to be used at any time. That meant that they were with Keith as part of his clan. Like clockwork, Keith arrived to pick up his daughter. I looked at Keith and he frowned at me. "I don't have all day." he said.

Smiling, I showed him my research. I also told him about the scuffle over the Water transmission hub. He glared at me. "I am a vice leader of a clan and I did not know that. How the hell did you find that out!?" I then brought him in to see Colton." Keith gasped in shock. "What the fuck have you done to him!?" he snapped. "I have a rebellious unit. If we give him some energy and get your kids out in the field to do some missions, we might be able to get the memory chips created. You'll never need to fear losing your kids." I said. Keith shook his head. "I don't want anything to do with this shit. You're playing a dangerous game here." He quickly took his daughter from the filled-up PEA lab and left. I waved them off and watched as they walked down the hall to the elevator. Once they were inside the elevator and the doors began to close, they were no longer my problem. I doubt that they would snitch on us. Who would he even tell if he had the chance? Cold Clan might interfere, but they also had no right to inter-clan activities. We would simply smooth their fears and get them to fuck off.

Colton decided to sulk for a bit, but the plans were still coming along. He really resented the fact that I was still and officer. Nolan came over to help too. I gave it a couple of in-game days but there were no signs of any PEA specific missions. Apparently, the normal PEP mission listings did not count towards their total. It was way beneath them. However, there was an exploit that I found and then abused. As a clan officer, I could assign members on clan missions. As it was deemed "important by the clan" those were equally as valid as the ones the transmission hub offered. Clans were pretty autonomous in that way. Some of them already had 2 real missions down. Those were the survivors of the assault on Water Clan. The rest had no mission experience. I just gave them all busy work to do. That was really what clan missions came down to at the end of the day. Rearranging the 2 gardens were 2 missions. Giving me inventory of all the things in the labs was valid as I was clan engineer. I ostensibly needed to know that. That was another 3. I could not send them on the same mission twice.

There was a cooldown on them. I could get creative when it was needed though. I had them walk around the perimeter of the town for "reconnaissance". I also had them buy and send coffee and donuts to Finian and Erin on separate days. It was done for "infiltration support" What was a cop without their breakfast of champions? That was 3 more missions. I just needed some more to get them to 15. Luckily the cooldown seemed to only be a week in-game. I also was able to get them to bring breakfast to each of the 4 humans at the guild building. After the breakfast runs, we got to 12. Repeating them the next week brough us to 24 completed missions. The survivors of the assault were now on 26 missions. This more than qualified them for the sexual upgrades. I was able to start work researching the sexual upgrade when they cleared 15. It was a small piece of hardware that needed to be installed. Just like with the PEP units and their sexual upgrades. While I was sending the 2 squads on the extra clan missions, I was fabricating them using all 3 labs. That made the process go much faster.
