Jon considered looking around for the stone, but soon nixed the idea. If he ran off to look around chances were all that would happen is he would get caught for ditching class. Besides, as dangerous as the stone was, it was unlikely to fall into the wrong hands. After all, Jon had most likely simply forgotten it at his house, and even if someone happened across the stone, they would have to:
A: pick up an ordinary looking rock for apparently no reason
B: use the term "I wish" while holding the rock and
C: make a wish evident enough that they could see the effects of the wish before discarding the rock and then
D: Draw a connection between the two.
That seemed a rather specific set of circumstances. His mind put to ease, Jon headed into math class.
But what Jon hadn't realize was that not only did he lose it in a place far more public than his house, but the stone had been happened upon and those rather specific set of circumstances fulfilled. And now its mysterious new owner was using the stone's power to wreak a peculiar effect upon Jon himself...
