Seven days had come and gone long ago. Jon and Karyn had believed that the week long effects of the bookmark would translate literally to a week in the fictional world as well, but instead it had now been months in this magical world.
Karyn had been the boy who lived for such a long period of time it was almost unthinkable to him to imagine life as a teenage girl. Karyn knew what the truth was, but he just fit his role in this world so perfectly he couldn't help himself but to be Harry Potter in everything he did.
The same could be said for Jon, who had been trying to fight her female hormones and urges at first, but as the days turned to weeks and the months came and went saw that there was no end of this life in sight and had long ago given in to temptation.
Which is why, at this moment, Karyn was out in the field, away from the camp site, practicing his Defense Against the Dark Arts as the sensual moans carried across the open ground from the tent. Karyn tried to block it out, He had already made it very clear to Jon how uncomfortable her actions were making him, but Jon had just shrugged her shoulders and told him tough luck.
With not much else to do, but study books and practice magic, while they waited, Ron had somehow worked the nerve up to go from mild public displays of affection for Jon, in Hermione's body, to now full on sex. Karyn was beginning to think that Hermione may have packed the Kamasutra as one of her many books.
“Diffendo” Karyn shouted as she pointed the stolen snatcher's wand at the tree stump leaving a deep gash in the wood as splinters exploded away.
“Blimey,” Ron said walking across the open field toward Karyn, as he buttoned his shirt, beads of sweat still glistening on his face “You're getting really good at that, Harry.” he smiled friendly.
“Yeah, well… I've got nothing better to do.” Karyn said with a slight venom. Ron's face blushed, his face growing redder.
“Yeah, ah… sorry about that, Harry.” Ron smirked “It's just…. You know...”
Karyn cocked her head to the side and met Ron's eyes “No… I really don't.”
“Heh” Ron chuckled awkwardly “Yeah… it's just that… she's...” he looked around “insatiable, Harry.”
Karyn gaped in shock at his best friend Ron. “What?”
But before Ron could elaborate, Jon was there, standing next to Ron with an arms around his own.
“Hi, boys.” Jon smiled, her hair slightly messier than usual “What's going on?”
Karyn wanted to scream, he was afraid he was losing his friend to this woman she had become but he knew it wouldn't make a difference, not until this book ended. But the fact that it was only late February still, and the plan to break into Malfoy mannor and rescue the hostages inside had to wait until March meant that all they could do was wait, and while they waited, Jon and Ron were free to be intimate if they so chose. Karyn didn't have to like it, but he did have to deal with it.
“Hermione,” Karyn said, pushing her distaste down “have you figured out when we need to stage this assault on Malfoy Manor, yet?”
Jon sighed as Ron ran his hand down her back “Harry, like I already said, the best I can do is narrow it down to sometime in March… most likely between the 11th and the 18th. It was never very clear exactly when in the book… but I think we just need to stay ready….. and…..” she trailed off.
The two boys exchanged a glance as they saw the genesis of an idea spread across her face.
“She's just thought of something Brilliant!” Ron said proudly.
“Let's hope so.” Karyn replied.
“And… if you, Harry, still have a strong connection to Tom Riddle, through your scar….” she continued to form her idea “Then on the night we need to stage our assault… you'll get a vision of Riddle… he'll still be hunting for Grindelwald… Yes!” Jon chirped with glee “When Riddle goes to Nurmengard to question Grindelwald about the Elder Wand… thats when we have to begin the assault!”
Karyn swept Jon up in a hug, just the thought that there was now a way forward made the end game seem so much clearer. Karyn saw a slightly peeved look from Ron when he placed Jon back down on her feet and just gave him a big goofy smile.
“Maybe we should go over the whole plan again… just to make sure we're all on the same page.” Karyn said as he walked back toward the tent.
