Doing that took some time. 2 of the PEA units died before we could get there. It seemed that the loss of 05-001 really motivated them to do everything that they could to strike back against our faction. They had to have brought about 20 cyborgs to take them out. The 11 PEP units, and 7 PEA units we faced up to his point were tough and ready to go. The AEP units Water Clan sent to hack the transmission hub had to be much further ahead. We killed everyone we could. I looked at the survivors on our side. "We're pushing ahead to the hub. Someone had to guard it. You guys have to sweep the floors and clear everyone out." They nodded and Paul and I went ahead. I just hoped we were not to late. We had not seen the clan leaders or the Erosion AEPs yet. There was a stairwell, and we went all the way to the bottom. Once there, we called out for anybody. There was no one. Looking closer, a hidden stairwell was at the back of the steps we had come down. We decided to go down. I walked in the open space at the bottom. Paul followed. The commotion was too far for Water Clan to stop us.
A metal clanging was heard in near vicinity. Gunshots were ringing out as well. I held back and carefully looked around a corner. Break and 05-002 were fighting. With the limb blade of 05-002 and the bare fists of Break, they were going at it. They also had guns. Code and Ers had seemingly been defeated. They were groaning on the floor. "Just hold still and go down already. We don't want to have to kill fellow AEP units." 05-002 said. We stood in the open and Paul said "It's all over so you might as well give up." They both looked at me and were surprised. 05-002 looked at us. He was very angry. "How did everyone upstairs let a pair humans breech the lower levels of the transmission hub!? What's going on up there!?" he demanded. Code said "You are miscalculating the physical prowess of the humans in PBJ Clan. They are way stronger and faster." I looked at Break. "Where are all the other AEP units? I think even 10-002 found his way down here at some point." I asked. He simply pointed down the hallway. "They all went ahead. I will join you all after killing 05-002." I doubted him a bit.
