Jon tried to figure that out. He...well not him...and Karyn were dating. He'd never wanted to complicate their relationship with...well, a relationship. Apparently, other Jon had no such problem.
It left him, or Janelle(Gee, this was getting confusing) as the third wheel. He wandered off.
He was halfway across the Food Court when he spotted Amber Levine, one of the cheerleaders waved him over. "Hey, Janelle. Come sit with me."
He didn't know Amber very well. Even though the faces of all the cheerleaders were burned into his brain, Amber didn't come to the front very often. She was part of the group of cheerleaders, but she didn't stand out much by herself. He realized he didn't know very much about her at all.
He decided to play it assuming they were friendly. "I was feeling like a bit of a third wheel," he admitted.
"Don't tell anyone, but I'm so jealous of those two. You know how much the others hate them, and Sarah knows if she trashes them in front of you that you'll get pissed, but they make a good couple."
"You're interested in...m-Jon?" He asked.
"God no," Amber said. "He's not my type. But, there is something about an attentive boyfriend that's just so...sexy."
Jon thought about that...and Amber herself. She didn't seem as much of a snob as he'd thought. Had reality changed? Was she always this way? Or was she always this way, just only to people in her social clique?
"Want to do something?" He asked her, looking over at Karyn and Jon a bit uncomfortably.
"I'm supposed to meet the others. But I have my cell. We could start looking around without them."
Jon put a smile on Janelle's face. "Sounds like fun."
