Looking around, Jon realized that he hadn't simply switched bodies with Janelle... if something like that could ever be considered "simple." Jon was in Janelle's body, he was wearing her clothes, but he was still in his own room, still holding his wishing stone. He wondered what that meant.
Suddenly Jon's bedroom door opened. Turning, Jon saw a younger girl standing there. She looked about Zoe's age, but she wasn't Zoe. She looked to be a member of Janelle's family, and looked oddly familiar to him, but he couldn't put his finger on why.
"Didn't you hear the doorbell?" The other girl said, annoyed. "It's for you."
Whatever the wish had done, it hadn't made his family black. This girl was roughly Zoe's age, but wasn't Zoe. And Janelle only had a brother, so unless there was magical sex changing going on...besides his, this wasn't him.
Maybe, the wish had mixed up his life and Janelle's to the point he still had a 14-year old sister, even if it wasn't the one he remembered.
"Could you tell them to wait just a minute?" Jon said.
"Whatever," the girl said, and left her alone. He could hear her yell down the stairs the message.
He took a deep breath and headed down the hall. Mikey's room, the last one before the stairs, was ajar. There was a kid Mikey's age sitting with his back to Jon, doing what looked like homework. That was wrong too. Mikey would have been watching cartoons right about now.
He headed down the stairs and saw who was waiting for him on the couch.
