Things were going well. The PEA units were largely expendable in our view. We also excluded the ones that were from Keith and PBJ Clan members to ensure that was the case. I went to the second location we had scouted. I saw that it had already been broken into. That was a good sign. I walked in unopposed as the commotion was way too much for Water Clan to bear. "This isn't possible. You shouldn't be able to do this!" 05-004 exclaimed as he wiggled in my hold. I gave him a sharp slap on the ass. The angry AEP unit just glared at me. He was promising me a gruesome murder with his eyes. I smiled and said "We've been planning it out really well. Toxic Clan was just smart- or lucky- enough to hear about it and come beg us for a non-aggression pact. We gave it to them." I looked around and found a stairwell going down. "I wonder what's at the bottom." I said out loud. We went down and I heard some gunshots. I held back and looked around a corner. Colton and 05-002 were fighting. With the limb blade of 05-002 and the cannon of Colton, they were going at it. They also had guns.
Nolan and Charlotte had seemingly gone ahead. I took the defeated 05-004 and put him in front. Holding him in a tight chokehold, I put a handgun from my inventory to his temple. I moved him forward and said "Stop. We've already got your fellow AEP unit hostage." They both looked at me and were surprised. 05-002 looked at a very ashamed 05-004. He was very angry. "How did you let a human capture you?" 05-002 demanded. 05-004 said "It was an anomaly. No matter how much I wounded him, his wounds would close, and he would continue to attack." 05-002 frowned and said "You're already captured. There's no need to make up stories. Humans do not have that level of regeneration abilities." "Why would I lie at this point!? I'm warning you!" 05-004 snapped. Colton said "You are miscalculating the physical prowess of the humans in PBJ Clan. They are way stronger and faster. And they will heal faster than any human has a right to." I looked at Colton. "Where is Nolan and Charlotte?" I asked. He simply pointed down the hallway. "They went ahead. I'll join after killing 05-002."
Colton had 05-002 locked down. I did not know if Colton could ultimately kill the enemy AEP unit or not, but it was definitely enough to give Nolan and Charlotte enough time to find the transmission hub. Once there, both of them could start trying to hack into it. I looked down the hallway and saw no one. It was going to be a giant hassle to find our way from there, but that was when the very desperate 05-004 chose to strike at me. He got me with his limb blade. He impaled me right in the liver. A mortal wound for humans. NPC humans at least. 05-004 shoved me backwards off of his blade and turned to look at me. I fell on my ass, clutching at my bloody side. Looking up at him, I said "Looks like you made your choice." I stood up slowly due to the throbbing pain and healed myself. All 3 AEP units were astounded. "Told you I was not lying." 05-004 said with a grim expression on his face. He was already preparing for the fight of his life. It was now a 2 on 2 fight. Colton and I against the 2 Water AEP units. We fought them. They were no match for us and died. Neither of us had time to waste.
