Jon had pointed his finger at the page, he was ready to swap bodies with a video game character, but he hadn't exactly decided which one he wanted to be. So he figured that he'd leave it up to chance. Putting the magazine down, he held the entire book open except for the back cover which was resting on his desk. Holding the pages in his hands, he closed his eyes and pointed his free hand's index finger at the page.
What ever character he chose, he figured it would be awesome enough to make Karyn completely jealous once he showed her. Jon didn't know whether he'd be Gordon Freeman, or Master Chief, or even Raiden from Mortal Kombat, maybe even Mason from Red Faction! He couldn't wait to show her.
Jon released the pages from his free hand and could hear them fluttering over as the book tried to close itself, speaking quickly, he called out "Give me that body!"
In an instant Jon felt his world change; he felt a little shorter and could tell that something had definitely happened. Jon opened his eyes and looked down at his hand, his slender hand. Jon examined his entire body; he could pretty much confirm that the swap had occurred, however, he couldn't tell much about which character he swapped with, except that it was a woman.
Examining himself, he found he was wearing a pink sweater with white trimming, some stained jeans and a pair of all-star sneakers without socks, which were clearly poorly laced up. Beneath his sweater Jon could see a pair of c-cup breasts poking through his top, further down he could tell his little guy was gone and replaced with the unfamiliar feeling of a woman's crotch, completely devoid of his masculinity.
Jon walked over to the mirror next to his window and looked at the strange face looking back at him. It was that of a young woman with green eyes, her face was framed with brown hair in bangs, with the majority of which pulled back into a ponytail behind his head. The woman stared in the mirror back at Jon with goggly eyes, he had just figured out who he swapped with Zoey.
Not Zoe his sister of course, but Zoey, the gun-ho college dropout from Left 4 Dead, expert pistol marksman and horror movie buff. He was the exact twin of the fictional character, if she was real. Around his waist was an empty accessory belt, with a holster for a pistol slung over his right thigh and a clip for a pipe bomb on his left. Just looking in the mirror could confirm he'd lost a few inches of height in the body swap.
Jon reached his new breast with one hand, cupping it gently, he could feel the softness of the tissue under his new fingertips, even though it was covered, and at the same time could definitely feel the sensation of actually having his breast fondled. After a short moment of feeling himself, or rather herself up, he stopped and took note of his room.
Nothing much had changed, same old crap sitting on his bookshelf and desk, same old room, except for a change of clothes. Opening his cupboard, he found more sweaters and jeans thrown casually about the space. In his drawers were white cotton t-shirts, and plain bras.
Obviously when he switched bodies, he switched wardrobes with Zoey's photo too, and that seemed to include all the clothes that she wore in any of her in-game appearances. Although she always seemed to wear the same clothes in all her appearances.
There was a stack of boxes at the far end of the room and sitting on top was a pistol. Jon picked up the pistol and was impressed, he had a gun! Jon slid it into the holster on his thigh and clipped the holster closed. Having a gun and being able to use it were two of the most wished for things in a teenage boy's life and now he had them. But he wasn't sure if he was actually supposed to or allowed to carry the gun around with him or if he should take it off before going outside.
Jon decided that he may as well enjoy the swap for the time being and get some answers. He went over to his desk and turned on his PC. While waiting for his PC to boot, he took a look at his wallet, opening it up to check his driver's license. After a little bit of fumbling with his new slender hands, he opened the wallet up and extracted his license from it.
It seems that his identity was still his own, He was Jon Gibson, an 18 year old FEMALE with brown hair, about 5'9" and green eyes. So while Jon was obviously in the body of a Zoey look alike, the real world still referred to him as Jon and treated him as a member of the Gibson family.
After the PC booted, Jon ran into something strange, the internet wasn't working. Jon thought that it may simply be a problem with his connection, but then discovered something else was wrong. It looked like the entire PC wasn't working properly, randomly rebooting before it could start up properly. Jon flicked a light on, on his desk and tried to reach around behind his desk to find out what was wrong with his PC. AS soon as the light came on, it started flickering too, something was wrong with the power.
Jon found this all rather odd, he didn't realized there was a power outage in the area and leaned out the window next to his desk to see what was going on. There was very little sign of life anywhere in the street; Jon could hear cracks on the horizon, almost like sporadic gunfire. Definitely not normal considering he was nowhere near Los Angeles, what could be possibly going on? It couldn't be fireworks, it was broad daylight.
It couldn't be possible that the entire town changed around him when he body swapped, Zoey was a legend zombie hunter from a PC game, if he's now technically Zoey, does that mean that the entire town is now an overrun with zombies? Maybe he should see what's going on before doing anything else. At least make sure the family was safe and Karyn too. Perhaps he should even see if he can use the stone to figure out what was going on.
Jon didn't know what to do next.
