Jon had pointed his finger at the page, he was ready to swap bodies with a video game character, and the one he had settled on was Dr Gordon Freeman from the Half Life Franchise franchise. He'd always loved the idea that a scientist was saving the world instead of a muscled army grunt. Of course the scientist was using weapons and fighting an alien invasion, but still it was a cool idea. Not to mention he would be able to show off for a bit, particularly to Karyn who is a Nintendo fan and get her jealous.

He pointed his finger at the page and spoke, "give me that body"

In a split second, he had done it. Jon had changed from his regular 18 year old self to the spitting image of the 28 year old theoretical physicist. Jon down at himself and could see he was now clad in the Hazardous Environment suit that was iconic to the character as much as Samus' power armour or Master Chief's MJOLINR armour were to them. Feeling himself down, he could barely feel the contours of the suit over his body as the almost skin-tight gloves shielded his hands from anything.

Jon could see himself in the mirror near his window, looking back at him was a 30ish year old man with short red hair and a short red goatee looking back at him through some geek chic style glasses. The man's brown eyes seemed to convey an expression of seriousness no matter what the expression on his face.

He could hear a clearly artificial female voice in his head reading out stats into his ear. Just like the real HEV suit did for the character in the game. Jon reckoned that the suit could easily withstand high temperatures but he didn't really want to test it by pouring boiling water on his hand or did he?

Jon decided that he may as well enjoy the swap for the time being and get some answers. He went over to his desk and turned on his PC. While waiting for his PC to boot, he took a look at his wallet, opening it up to check his driver's license.

It seems that his identity was still his own, He was Jon Gibson, an 18 year old MALE with red hair hair, about 6"2 and brown eyes. So while Jon was obviously in the body of a Dr Freeman look alike, the real world still referred to him as Jon and treated him as a member of the Gibson family.

It was odd that he was still listed as looking 18, even though he appeared much older. But if he really had kept his own identity because the character had no real age, then it kinda made sense. The stone seemed to be strange that way.

After the PC booted, a quick Google search showed that Gordon Freeman was still a man in the Half Life series and not a teenage boy. So to Jon that seemed to indicate swapping with photos would not be the same as swapping with a person.

Jon looked around his room; it didn't seem that much different. However, a quick examination of his wardrobe seemed to show that it was packed with a few duplicate HEV suits, a number of lab coats and even a City 17 jumpsuit. Obviously when he switched bodies, he switched wardrobes with Freeman's photo too, and that seemed to include all the clothes that he wore in any of her in-game appearances.

Jon didn't know what to do next though.
