"Karyn, Jon", Jon's mother called, "you're going to be late!"
Karyn checked her watch in surprised, "Crap, we're gonna miss the bus!", she grabbed Jon's holodisc from under him. Jon felt his world move around him, he raised his hands up to balance himself before realizing that he wasn't moving. The world around him was warping and wobbling like an earthquake, but he was still rock solid with his feet rooted to the holo disc.
"Wait Karyn ", Jon began to say.
Karyn hurriedly unzipped her bag, "No time, gotta go!", she said, before flicking the switch on the holodisc. Jon's image flashed away in a wink of light, leaving the deactivated disc sitting inert in her hand. Karyn shoved the disc in her bag and vanished.
Karyn zipped the bag back up and swung it over her shoulder before running out of the room, downstairs and out Jon's front door to the waiting bus.
