Once we got to the gate, there was a scan toll. You needed the credentials to get in. Since the corp went under, not only was it now unmanned, but there were very few keycards still in existence that would even work. Brett had one only because he made it before we left. I still had the numbers of Mouse and Mary. They were the friendlier of the 4 PEP units starting the new clan. Mary said that she was eventually able to get her X-frame. The ones they got in the lab they made was the XF-07M and XF-012M. They were able to clear out a drug den in the I clapped my hands to get everyone's attention. "There are four of us, so we can split up evenly. 08927and I will go around the beach to scout it out." I then pointed to the buildings and said "Paul and Brett can look over there. Maybe you can find something for us to set up camp." They nodded and left to explore. I turned to the cyborg and gave him a rifle that shot that shot toxic rounds, 2 flame swords, a handgun shooting poison rounds, portable energy generator and an ammo pack. His eyes went wide. "This is what leader uses."
We were the ones that supplied it to him. "I can't believe it." he said as he cherished them. We then walked the perimeter of the city. Mary's clan was in the Industrial manufacturing area. They cleared a big drug den. Ghost Town was a city set to be the playground of the corp's elite executives and their cronies. There were 10 sperate districts in the city's design: Outlying residential area, Wealthy residential area, Middle-class residential area, Poor residential area, Industrial manufacturing area, Central business district, Theater district, Heavy industrial area, Outlying business district and a small Suburb of large villas overlooking the city on a hill a hundred miles away. I sighed. This was a city. While they certainly sneered at the poor and would rather not see them, they were needed. Who else would serve them at restaurants, run the transportation, collect the trash, perform for their large corporate parties, teach their children in school, maintain order, fight fires, run maintenance on their cars, and the many other things the "help" did that actually made a city function beyond their delegation?
It did not have to be absolutely open for riff raff. They could simply buy companies for people to supply the people that were needed. That was the plan at the very least. I could only assume that. They never lived to see it before they all got killed off. We went to the clan building they had. Mary's partner was at the front. He did not look like he liked the change of scenery. He remembered my face. "Oh. Mary told me to look out for you." he said. He then showed us around. It was planned to be a warehouse where they stored furniture that was not yet needed. It got taken over by squatters first. Then the drug lords came in and kicked them out. There were still bricks of drugs in the corner. I saw Mouse, Mary, Quick and Zayne in that order. I said hello and asked what had been going on. It was a dog eat dog city. With the firepower supplied by the man and Mary's partner, they could use their inhuman strength to blow away any competition. Since they did not have need for the drugs, they simply gave dime bags of it away for free. It certainly made them popular in the area. They all were left alone.
