That was true. Even if there were no cops running a beat, word would spread if several cyborgs started brewing up something nasty in Ghost Town. "If there were some units on the inside, they could make a safehouse or a clan building that could be used." I offered a suggestion. Mouse shook his head. "You need time and money for the resources to build them. That is why some of us partner with syndicates in the first place." That made sense. I rolled my eyes. That was probably another reason they came to us with this. We were probably the only clan in the game that could self-finance "the next stage", whatever the hell that meant. "PBJ Clan has lots of money and resources. Let us handle all the costs. You can just send off these decisions now." I told them. Having me do their jobs for them was a bit annoying, but I had a sense that if it was not me, things would all get derailed. They took some time convincing them, but they got them to go confirm it. I got the next menu ping for the quest. I just asked "So what happens next?" Quick looked at me. "We already served our purpose."

Neither the man nor I were satisfied with that response. "Don't talk to me like that Z." he warned. Zayne just looked at the man and said "We will go back to our normal routines as contractors for Libra Force now. The coordinates will be given to the best PEP units. I am guessing designation numbers under 2999. From there, the fastest, strongest and the ones with the best systems and skill proficiency will go on to complete the next stage." I sighed. They were not taking their lives seriously. Why would they? In the terms of the transmission hub, all the units were pawns that could be used to further their goals. While each had the capacity for individuality, that flew out of the window when contacted for a job. Our quest was complete now. That did not help me with the curiosity. I was hooked back into the plot of the game. We all climbed in the van as we were done with this part of the questline. That did not mean that we were done with them. I gave all 4 of them the full XF-02 model as well as all of the money and parts for it. "You need to be the guys on the inside. You deserve it." I said.

With the money, they could but a personal visit from the safehouse. The PEP units kicked everyone out who was not a full cyborg. Once they left, we were allowed to go back in. All of the wounded units were good as new. They had enough money to buy a car and have it delivered to them. With Zayne driving, he, Mouse and Quick were headed to the Foundry. Mary was not going with them. She and her agent partner were going to Ghost City first. From there, they would use their share of the money and her hacking skills to secure a place for them to operate. They would be a new clan and operate in the city. I took us all back to Dwan town. Since I solved the questline, things were going to move forward. It might be something that others would have to replicate, or there might be a cooldown before the next event. Regardless, when we got to the cab depot the others cheered for us. They must have gotten the news from the transmission hub. Sunny and Lucy were shunned, but I stood by them both. It forced those that wanted to talk to me to stay in the vicinity. Sparks ignored them.
