Sarah was unyielding while pointing the gun at the two of them, there were tears in her eyes as she glared at the man who stole her body.
"How dare you steal my body? How can you live with yourself?" Sarah demanded through the tears that welled in her eyes.
Jon was trying to put himself in the way of Karyn so that Sarah wouldn't shoot him, "We didn't plan it this way Sarah, it just happened. We're sorry"
"You're sorry? YOU'RE SORRY! Oh that's supposed to make it all better then?" Sarah replied blithely, "You're sorry you stole my body, abused it and left me with your rejects?"
"Sarah, no one knows that anything ever changed, as far as everyone knows you've always been that way. What has possibly driven you to do this?" Karyn asked carefully.
"I knew something had changed", Sarah replied, "Oh and it wasn't easy either, just after the birth of my son Christian. She said, "It's funny you know, how old fashioned photos in national archives turned up when you least expect them"
"What?" Jon asked, confused, "What are you talking about?"
Sarah grunted angrily, "One day, I received a letter from the British national archives, all the way across the world, they were asking about me. They asked if I had had a sex change and hadn't updated them for my dual passport", she said, "I've been a British citizen for as long as I can remember and always had a dual passport. People I spoke to on the phone said that nothing was wrong, my passport photo said nothing was wrong but the archives themselves had a photo of me as a young blonde girl, the same young blonde girl I'm sitting across from!"
Jon realized what had happened, while the swap wish seemed to work and blinded everyone around them to any changes, along with actual records locally, since the photo itself was in another country, it wasn't affected by their perception wish until Sarah was contacted by the British government.
"Do you have any idea how humiliating it is to find out you've been living a lie for the last four years?" Sarah said, "And now I'm going to make sure that you don't do it to anyone else", she raised the gun and pointed it at Jon's head.
"Sarah don't!" Karyn cried out, "Think of your children!"
Sarah was holding the gun, blinking back tears, "How can I even look at my children knowing I'm not their real mother! Or that they'll grow up to learn their mother is some sort of freak!"
"Sarah, anyone you talk to will immediately think you are normal, any documents you see will change to show you as you. If you look at that photo now, I bet it'll show you now as the kind mother of three that you are, not the blonde haired woman you aren't!", Karyn said, "Please, don't do this. Your children deserve their mother"
Sarah's gun wavered; Jon reckoned he may be able to grab it off her if she broke her concentration again, "I'm doing this for my children, getting revenge on the one who wrong their mother"
"No!" Karyn screamed out as Sarah fired.
The first shot hit Jon as he tried to duck; grazing his carotid artery, blood gushed out of the wound; Jon reflexively pushed his hand against the wound in response to the impact of the bullet. Sarah aimed again and fired, hitting Jon square in the gut, tearing open his stomach.
Karyn leapt on Sarah with the gun and wrestled it from her grip. It wasn't easy considering she had the strength of a well exercised man behind it, but Karyn was able to use the distraction to grab the gun off her. Sarah managed to fling Karyn off her but she managed to hold on to the gun, which was now safely out of Sarah's grasp.
Sarah looked at Karyn with a rage, as Karyn aimed the gun at Sarah's male form. She shot a quick glance at the dying Jon on the floor and rage filled her mind, Karyn blinked back the tears as she watched Jon dying in front of her. It was very easy for her to pull the trigger on Sarah and get revenge.
However, Jon stopped her, "Karyn", he rasped, "No", while choking on his own blood.
Karyn and Sarah looked at Jon as he lay dying, his beautiful body was dripping blood down his blouse and skirt, and a pool was collecting around his shapely ass.
She watched as Jon was able to raise his hand, just barely, with a bit of effort, he pointed his middle finger at Sarah, Sarah didn't know what he was doing, perhaps he was flipping her off, but Karyn knew.
Jon's last words were, "Give me that brain"
In a split second, everything change. Jon was standing up, the pain in his neck and gut was completely gone, there was no sign of being shot. He looked down at himself and saw his old male body there. Everything was intact; even Karyn's old vagina was waiting for him as a familiar void between his legs. Jon could feel much stronger then he did in his body, rather old body.
Jon turned to Karyn, who was now training the gun on him, he raised his hand to her, "Karyn, wait it's me! Jon!" he said.
Karyn looked for a second and then lowered the gun, sobbing, she dropped the gun and ran into Jon's waiting arms, "Oh Jon, I thought I'd lost you!" she wept.
"It's ok, Karyn", Jon replied, "You'll never lose me", he said, looking at his body laying dead on the floor.
Jon was quite lucky, his body died just as he said his last swap wish, he and Sarah had switched bodies at the moment of death, so Sarah died painlessly in her own body, four years of torment for her ended quickly and painlessly. However, Karyn was still traumatized.
"Jon, what are we going to do about her?" Karyn asked, looking at Sarah's body still slumped against the lounge, bleeding out.
Jon released Karyn and walked over to the cabinet containing the stone; he removed the stone from the cabinet and walked back.
"Sarah's been in pain for along time, she came her to kill herself, literally", Jon said, "I don't think I can wish her back to life, but I can make sure that she gets what she deserves", he said.
Karyn didn't know what he meant by that, she was worried that Jon may choose to do something cruel to Sarah even in death.
Jon held the wishing rock in her hands, "I wish that Sarah had not died from the gunshot wounds on her body, I wish she was involved in a car crash that killed her quickly and painlessly, only a few blocks from here", Jon said.
The stone glowed, and the two of them watched as Sarah's body vanished from the living room along with the blood stains.
"Jon, what did you do?" Karyn asked in shock, "How could you do that to her!"
"I'm not finished", Jon said, "I wish that Sarah's life insurance was paid up to approximately 5 million US dollars, payable to her family after she died in full with no strings attached"
Karyn realized what Jon had done, he couldn't bring Sarah back to life, but her family didn't have to suffer because Sarah took her own life. She loved Jon even more for his compassion. Karyn looked at Jon and gave him a soft kiss on the lips, his own lips, for the first time in ever, considering he'd never had this body before with her.
They looked at the empty spot on the carpet where Sarah had died, there was no sign she was ever there, Jon and Karyn were at a loss as to what to do now, their afternoon had been ruined to say the least.
