Jon had just given Karyn and Emily both the same swapping power that had given Jon and Karyn their new lives together so long ago. Emily was still surprised that she didn't feel any different after the power was given to her. But she was able to "borrow" Karyn's penis at the same time and feel it as actually a PART of her that was proof enough that she had the power now.
It was still unbelievable that Jon and Karyn had used this so long ago to give themselves their new unique lifestyle together. At the same time, Emily wasn't really that surprised that Jon and Karyn ended up together, she was really only surprised at what brought them together, it quite literally was magic.
"So, how bout it?" Karyn said finally, after their discussion concluded, it snapped Emily out of her daydreaming, "I reckon that we go out and try this swap power out"
Jon shook his head, the loos bangs of hair framing his face swished around with the motion, "No, it's much easier to stay in and play around with photos and the like, that way you aren't really messing up anyone else's lives"
"Yea, but you didn't do that with Sarah", Karyn said.
"That was different"
"How so?"
"She was the only one we ever really tested it on!"
"We tested it on Zoe too!"
"You tested it on Zoe!"
"Only to see if it worked!"
"You've tested it on two women before you stopped changing, I think you like being a woman, Jon!"
"That's only because you liked my penis too much to give it back"
"You never asked"
Emily watched as the two of them argued back and forth for some time, it was so funny hearing them arguing about their past with the swapping power, not exactly typical household debating material. But Jon and Karyn didn't really seem to be taking it seriously, even though they were trying to sound serious. Jon was puffing up his chest, trying to act indignant, but all that he succeeded in doing was enhancing his bust and ending up looking like he was smirking too much.
Karyn on the other hand, she was trying to stifle giggles of laughter as she shot back pithy one liners to Jon's comments, but it was getting harder to do so.
"Yea, well, ya mum!" Karyn finally said, relenting, she burst out laughing.
Jon joined in the laughter too; they hugged each other as they laughed so hard they ended up crying as a result. Emily joined in the laughter too, but felt slightly out of place in the situation now. Beforehand, Jon, Karyn and Emily were a trio of best friends, all on the same level in the relationship, now Jon and Karyn had gotten closer and Emily felt like she was on the outside looking in. Emily considered just leaving the two of them alone and simply leaving, but she knew Karyn and Jon wouldn't like that at all.
Suddenly, Emily's phone beeped, Jon and Karyn stopped their laughing and took a look at Emily's way as she fished her phone out of her pocket and flipped open it's clam shell top. Looking at the message, she sighed and then folded the phone closed again, depositing it back in her pocket.
Emily looked up at Karyn and Jon's waiting faces, "Sorry guys, I've gotta go. Something's come up"
Jon and Karyn looked a little upset, "aww, so soon?" Karyn asked.
Emily nodded as she stood up, "Yea, unfortunately, it's pretty urgent", she said.
Jon and Karyn released each other and stood up, Karyn wiped the remainder of the tears from her and Jon's eyes before they headed to the door, Jon opened the door for Emily and she strode through it. Emily was part way down the path to the front of the street when she heard Jon call out to her.
"Don't forget to come back later, we've still got some playing around to do", Jon said.
Emily waved back to them, "No problemo", she said, "Catch you later"
The last thing Emily saw as Jon closed the door was Karyn leaping onto his back, knocking her off balance. Those two really were happy together, and it didn't seem at all out of place for both of them to look like women. Even after Jon explained it to her, it still seemed alright.
Emily got in her car and drove off; she had to get to her destination rather quickly. She navigated her way through the unfamiliar streets towards a more familiar location, somewhere she used to go quite often. Emily pulled up into a street she knew very well and parked her car outside the two storey house at the end of the street.
She got out of the car and walked up to the front door of the house, knocking loudly, she could hear someone walk up to the door and fiddle with the locks. After the locks were released, the door parted and revealed a very middle aged looking woman looking at her.
"Emily", Linda Gibson said, "I guess you're after Zoe? She's upstairs in her room"
"Thanks Mrs G", Emily replied, walking past Linda and into the Gibson house, Emily walked up the same flight of stairs that she walked a million times when Jon was still living here, past Mikey's room and straight into Zoe's room. She closed the door behind her, very quietly, as to not alert Zoe to her presence.
Zoe was sitting at her desk with her back to the door her long brown hair hung loose around her shoulders, Emily crept up on her quietly while Zoe continued to work, in one quick motion Emily flung her arms around Zoe's shoulders and planted a kiss on Zoe's cheek.
Looking back up at the stranger, Zoe said, "I was wondering when you were going to get here Lee", before she kissed Emily on the lips.
