Jon's ears were pounding. He found himself surrounded by hundreds of screaming teenage girls on the floor of an arena, just in front of a large stage. The lights were all off, except for a few stage lights.
Jon looked around and found his target. Sarah was standing in the very front and center. Well duh, Jon thought. It is her dream, after all. Jon made his way though the crowd, and reached Sarah just as the lights started to move on stage.
Jon grabbed Sarah's shoulder, and she turned around and said, "Jon? What are you doing here? You know this is a girls-only concert, right?"
Jon looked around again and saw that, yes, every single person in the audience was a girl. No guys to speak of. No boyfriends, no dads, nothing. But he was there, right?
Jon felt something tear at him inside. Two nights is not nearly enough time to fully understand dream worlds, and because he figured out how to control a few things, Jon had gotten cocky. What he didn't realize is that he'd still had his training wheels on. He hadn't been in a dream that had established rules in the previous two nights, which was lucky for him. But he was in one now, which was not all that lucky.
Jon saw face after face, framed by shining locks, sparkling with makeup, sitting atop bodies adorned with bright colors and delicate patterns. He swiveled his head to look up at the mezzanine, and felt his hair brush against his bare shoulders. He turned his body to look at the other side of the arena, and felt his breasts pull against the cups of his bra. He hopped a little on his three-inch sandals to get a better view, and felt his skirt swish across his smooth legs.
Jen turned back to Sarah and said "I know it's girls-only. Why is that a problem?"
Sarah smiled, "It's not. I was talking to someone else. Don't worry."
Jen shrugged and asked "Who's performing at this concert, anyway?"
Sarah replied, "The Jonas Brothers. You're here at their concert, so you obviously like them right?"
Jen didn't think she liked the Jonas Brothers. But Sarah had a point. Why would she be here if she didn't? She stared blankly for a second as things re-arranged in her mind, then responded, "I like them okay. Their music isn't too good, but Kevin is cute."
Sarah was about to say something else, but the lights on the stage started blinking and three boys walked out. The music started, and Jen found herself actually enjoying it. She got into it, moving her body to the rhythms, watching the boys perform. Maybe she did like the music after all? Why else would she come to this concert?
After what felt more like a montage of songs than one song itself, the stage lights dimmed and the trio walked off.
