Reading the in-game encyclopedia, if I could prove my worth, they would let me join the clan. I had to do 10 missions for them starting now. Keisuke and I were given the free rein to explore the village as we saw fit. Being that we saved Goro, Rokuro and Juro, we were visited by them often. A week after healing, they had a big ceremony where their headbands received the crest of their clan. It was a pair of eyes. The three of them were paraded all over the village. After that, the family spent time alone. It was not something we could question. Later, we got the reason why. They were grieving at their personal shrine. The second son died trying to clear the exam. Along with the headband, the clan also gave them their new outfit. Genin hopefuls had generic clothes to wear. However, the further you advanced, the more resources they were willing to give you. Such was the life of a minor clan member. Now the brothers had a nice black bodysuit each. They were also given a leather whip. It seemed that the majority of the ninja in the clan, both male and female were kunoichi. All fine by me.
Goro and Rokuro
Our first mission was to investigate a possible thieves' den near the town. The mayor had no qualms with hiring ninja to do his dirty work for him. Keisuke and I were the ones sent out on this case. We had to go east from the village. There indeed was an encampment. We had to stake it out for several days, but it did not look like they were a band of thieves. We eventually walked in with our civilian clothes and asked around. Apparently, the big city had a massive pogrom against those with blue hair recently. The new lord of the city simply hated them. They were chased out and barely escaped with their lives. Most of their property was confiscated. The people here only had what they could carry on them. I wondered why blue haired people were so hated by the lord. Blue hair was not as different as it seemed in a videogame. The character creation menu allowed Players to have blue hair as well. It seemed that they were harmless enough. We warned them not to go to the town and steal. "The mayor thinks that this is a bandit camp." I explained. They were upset by the accusation.
