His voice was small and broken. It was all his fault that they were captured, and his brothers were raped in front of him. The guilt must be crushing. There was nothing I could do. Where would I even start? "Is there anything that we can do for you?" Goro asked us. I asked if they were still going to the genin exam. They all looked at each other, unsure of what to do. "I think that you should. We just came from there. If you would put in a good word for us with your clan, we'd be happy to escort you there and then back home." Keisuke looked at me like I was insane. I quickly tugged him off to the side. Looking at the brothers, I said "We just have to talk about it for a small moment." When we were alone, he said "What happened to going back to my village!?" he snapped. "Listen. From what I've seen and heard, your village did not have enough money to buy you proper weapons for the genin exam. How were you going to do missions? This is a fast track to serving a clan. You can always send all of the money you make back to your family." I pointed out bluntly. He looked at me for a moment.
I knew we were on to something when he said "Fine!" We went back to the brothers and told them that we were ready to take them. I asked if they wanted to wait until all of them healed from their wounds. Goro and Rokuro were in a hurry. Things being as they were, their exam period was almost over. If they missed it, they would have to wait for another year. That was unacceptable for them. Using chakra, we made our way back to the exam site much faster than by walking like civilians. When Juro had exhausted his reserves of chakra, Goro carried him on his back. I looked at the brothers and told them all of the things that we had to do. "For all the fights, you can go in groups. Keisuke and I teamed up and they simply sent out 2 genin. If all 3 of you fight together, you might be able to win." I offered. I had no actual clue whether or not they would be able to pass. Especially for Juro. They nodded and went down the stairs when prompted by the shadowy figure. All that we had to do was wait outside. We were attacked again, of course. This time by Akaime genin hopefuls. We killed all 4 of them.
Luckily, the siblings were able to pass the exam together before more came to fight us. The proctors allowed us to stay because they attacked us first and we did not seek any other Akaime Clan members that were going in or out of the venue for a fight. Goro, Rokuro and Juro all had their headbands. It was sad that all they had was their tattered and stained clothes. It was better than nothing, however. "Let's get you brothers home." I said. They were tired and wanted to walk. We made our way to the inn we had recently abandoned. It was a bit of a dark joke. If we did not leave when we did, we would probably be closer to Kira Village. We spent the night unable to rest fully. We left before the crack of dawn thankfully. While Keisuke's village was truly west, the brothers lived to the northwest from the city. It was still 2 days off. That meant camping at night. We sat around a big fire for warmth while we ate food from the inn. It was good very and got us through the night. From there, we could use our chakra. They lived in a decent sized village. The town with the inn easily dwarfed this place.
