"I wish Biff would trade lives with Edith Stillman, and I wish that Biff would remember his former life." Jon smiled as the stone glowed. Edith Stillman was a shy, nerdy Freshman girl.
Biff always prided himself on his role as a jock in the social hierarchy of high school, and he was the leader of the pack. He had the hottest girlfriend and his family was the richest in town. His father had bought him a Mustang when he turned 16, and now he was a Senior, heading off in the fall to join the State college football team.
At least used to be.
Jon looked ahead where Biff and his football buddies had been walking away. Only now it was Edith Stillman in Biff's place. It was obviously Edith, but she looked different. She looked more athletic, not shy at all, and she laughed along with the jocks like she was one of the boys. So where was Biff?
Then Jon spotted him. Sitting on the bench in front of the school sat Biff, looking scared and unsure as to what had just happened to him. Jon stifled a laugh as he saw the former captain of the football team, wearing a plaid skirt, navy blue stockings, a black turtleneck sweater, and ugly brown shoes. He now had thick cat eye glasses, braces, acne, and his hair was cut in a messy bob with bangs. It looked like he was dressed up for Halloween, but Jon knew this was no costume, this was Biff's life now. And as far as anyone knew, it always had been. He supposed Edith was now somehow the captain of the football team. Probably dating Sarah, too.
This suspicion was confirmed when Jon saw Leonard, the biggest nerd in the school who used to be Edith's boyfriend, walk happily up to Biff and sit down next to him.
"Still on for our study date, sweetie?" he asked Biff, in a flirty voice.
Biff was ready to call him a "fag" and punch him in his massive gut or break his glasses, but he was now too shy and timid to do that. What was wrong with him? he wondered, growing more scared by the minute. Why was he suddenly over here, dressed and behaving like that one nerd girl, what was her name again? He didn't even know, and used to always pride himself that everybody knew his name and he never bothered to learn theirs...
He somehow managed to stammer a "no" to Leonard, pushing him away in a very girly manner, and then took off running, terrified. He had to figure this out. He ran towards his football buddies who were still walking down the sidewalk, they'd be able to help him.
"Steve! Jimmy! Guys!" he called them, which took all his courage. "You gotta help me!"
The group slowly turned around, and Biff's jaw dropped. Leading the pack was what's-her-name, that nerd girl he was now dressed as... And she was wearing his his varsity jacket, his t-shirt, his jeans, and her hair was cut like his used to be.
"Well, well, well..." said Edith, threateningly. "What do we have here? If it isn't what's-his-face, that Freshman nerd who always wears the skirt... You gonna tell on me again for snapping that bra strap of yours?"
Biff was shocked, he had done that to HER the previous week. He fought back tears of fear as Edith and the football gang formed a semi circle around him. Meanwhile Jon, watching this all from afar, decided to settle in and enjoy the show, rock in hand in case he wanted to make any further adjustments.
