Carla Davis stood at the church altar in the nursing home. Hard to believe that this was actually happening. Not only were her grandchildren here, she could even make out her daughter. Trying her hardest to hold in her tears, she was doing the same.
"This is it." she told herself, smoothing out her wedding dress to the best of her abilities. It took quite a bit of work to find a dress that she could wear that was 'elegant enough' for a wedding, but Carla knew that it was worth the effort. Especially when Elizabeth got to see her in it. She had managed to keep it under wraps, even with the amount she spent with her wife-to-be. In turn, Elizabeth kept it under wraps. Not even the gossip of the other ladies was able to tell her what she had chosen. "There she is."
Turning ahead, Carla's gaze was met with Elizabeth's. Dressed in a frilly white suit, it checked all the right boxes for the elderly lesbian.
"You look amazing, dear." Elizabeth cooed and Carla's cheeks turned red. Did she really need to do that now of all times. She already knew she would get flustered from a simple compliment. Letting it slide, she watched Elizabeth take her place opposite of her. Letting the vows play out, the couple waited for the one moment that they waited for some time.
"You may now kiss the bride."
With that, they made it official - Mrs Carla and Elizabeth Davis.
Ending - Elderly and married (Carla)/Continue?
