Heading over to the door, Carla gingerly opened it up. There, a hallway awaited her on the other side. Doing her best to not rouse any suspicions, she did her best her elderly lady walk. Still not quite there, it was more than enough to fool anyone who thought she was not an elderly woman.
"Morning Ms Davis." a caretaker announced and Carla took a moment to wave. Why did everyone keep calling her by that particular last name? It wasn't anywhere close to what it actually was. Not that she could actually remember what surname she liked to go by. Every time the elderly woman thought she had gotten close to the answer, it slipped out of reach.
For now, Carla shifted her attention to the hallway ahead. Relatively plain, there was a weird sereneness to it. Like this was somehow a place that she wasn't supposed to be. Which kind of was, now that she thought about it.
"Hey. I don't think I recognize you." a voice called out and Carla spun around. Standing before her was an elderly woman around her age. Dressed much like her, their gazes met. Part of Carla wanted to get more information here, but this too felt off. Not that she could put her finger on why that was.
Talk to her or head on?
