Throwing all caution to the wind, Carla fitted the hearing aids in. Silence filled the room, a strange tranquility coming over the grandmother. It had been quite a while since she had gotten to hear a lack of noise. Almost always, she was faced with some kind of noise.
Nice as it was, that was definitely not the intended outcome. Fiddling with the hearing aids, sound returned to the room. Far louder than it was initially, Carla got the feeling that she was going to have to learn to accept that.
"Better than nothing." she thought and looked back into the wardrobe. Finding nothing that was needed to be put on here, she closed it up. Cracking a smile, the grandmother took a moment to look around her room for a mirror. There had to be one here that could be used to make she looked nice.
Eventually, Carla did find one. Carefully walking over, she made sure her steps were small but graceful. Staring into her reflection, she couldn't believe it. If one didn't know any better, they would probably think they were an elderly lady. Perhaps someone's grandmother.
"Perfect." she announced, the sound of her voice far louder than she expected. Pushing that concern away, she looked over to the door. On one hand, it might be good to get out. But on the other hand, who knows what could happen while away. Perhaps it would be better to just stay here and wait?
