Fred stared at the young girl in front of him and felt a need, he hugged her quick "it will be ok Jon, I'll fix everything" he started crying.
What's happening, Jon thought, one moment he is about to end up in care or who knows what kind awful life, the next his tormentor is comforting her. Jon soon recovered from his tears "can I please have the rock back Fred?"
"Sure" Fred sniffed, "I'm sorry sorry, please forgive me" he begged as he handed Jon the stone.
Jon stared at it in his hand... What strange wish had saved him from his fate.
"I wish Fred would forget about the rock and his life would return to normal, I also wish to be back at Karyns" Jon said
"who are you" a 12 year old Karyn screamed, "where did you come from?"
Jon quickly wished that Karyn knew who he was and remember their friendship. He then wished to know why Karyn didn't know her.
"Oh" Jon said sadly, realising that everyone except Fred and thanks to the order of Fred's wish Jon had forgotten who Jon was. He guessed it wasn't time constrained but maybe it was better leaving Jon forgotten for now.
"John, you got the rock back" Karyn said, hugging her friend. "Now can we try to fix this?"
John decided on plan B, it was a wild card and he hoped it would work "I wish for my and Karyn's minds and souls to move to an identical alternate dimension of ourselves, where it is the morning of the first day at school after spring break, the only difference to this reality being that Sarah McMillan is missing school because she is sick. Also the current souls of our counterparts in that dimension will join with ours, after all they are nearly identical and the Karyn in this dimension, like Jon will be forgotten"
"fingers crossed" Ten year old female Jon said, as he held Karyns 12 year old hand. she looked into his eyes and smiled as she and Jon crossed their fingers with their free hands...
