Carol's gaze shifted away from the book and over to the door. If she was lucky, Caroline would still be off watching TV. Maybe she would think that Carol was taking a very long shower or something. That could work out in her advantage, even if there was no real way to gauge if that truly was the case.
"I guess I could give it a short read." Carol thought, grabbing the book and sitting down on the bed. Opening the book up, she got to reading the introductory paragraph.
To the future housewife reading this,
No matter what anyone's says, there's always a place for a housewife. Whether that be by the side of her husband or her wife, she must always be her best. Whether that be in the kitchen, the living room and even the bedroom. I assure you that there's a tip you can use.
While some of the stuff may seem out of place or really impractical to you, this is necessary for giving your romantic partner the best life they deserve.
"Carol?" Caroline called out, Carol looking up from the book. Sure, the page went on quite a bit and gave examples for what was in the book. But, it was clear that Caroline had noticed her gone for a bit too long. Maybe it would be a good time to just go and talk to her.
Though, maybe she could get away with shouting she was alright.
