Shower out of the way, Carol quickly got herself dressed. While only the second time she had put on these clothes, a familiarity was coming to her. But for now, the former trainer turned her attention to the mirror.
As much of the Ash she washed out of her, still some parts remained. Those were deeper ingrained stuff, the parts of him that were going to put up a fight against this new path. They wouldn't win, but it would be a long battle.
"I'm not quite there." she thought and took a deep breath, gaze shifting away from the mirror. While she could go directly to her sister, Carol was curious of her sister's room. "Maybe there's something there that can help me."
Exiting the bathroom, she took the time to look down both ends of the hallway. Just in case her sister was going to pop out of nowhere and surprise her with something. Thankfully, there was no signs of Caroline. At least for now. So Carol headed towards the master bedroom.
Inside, the room reminded Carol a bit of her own room. While a lot more decorated than hers with family photos and other mementos, there felt like something was missing here. But try as Carol might to figure out what exactly was missing here, the answer eluded her.
Though in the process of looking everything over, her attention came upon something of note. An old book on how a wife should act and present herself. Printed in the 50's, it was obviously housewife material. Surely Caroline wouldn't mind her taking a peek. right?
