Jon ran up to his bedroom and grabbed the stone. "I wish to know where my grandfather just went." The stone glowed and Jon received his answer. He traveled back in time, five years to be exact.
Jon grasped the stone and said "I wish to travel back in time to the exact same time that my grandfather traveled to when he left a moment ago."
The stone glowed and Jon's surroundings seemed to blur and change. When everything came back into focus, he saw that he was still in his bedroom, but it looked the way it did five years ago when he was twelve.
"Jon! Dinner will be ready soon!" he heard his mom yell.
"Okay!" he heard himself yell. It was his younger self. And by the sound of it, he was outside in the hallway.
Jon looked left and right, then darted towards the closet. He opened it, jumped inside, then closed it, just in time. Because a few seconds later, the bedroom door opened and his younger self walked in.
He had to be careful. From science fiction movies, he knew that messing with the past was a bad idea. If he wasn't careful, he could erase himself from the future or something even worse. It would be best to limit interaction. But he still needed to find his grandfather.
