"I want to be invisible", said Lucy.
"Invisible? Is that even possible?"
Lucy smirked and waved the note in Jason's face.
"Did you just skim through the details? Says here, if you set the thing to vanish mode and then stab me with it, I turn invisible."
"Oh. I wonder why that is?"
"Maybe the makers of the sword though erasing someone from existence was just too cruel, so they decided to give users the option to have their cake and eat it too."
Lucy lifted up her T-shirt, exposing her bare midriff.
"Well, let's get this over with."
Jason shrugged, and plunged the blade into her stomach. Lucy giggled as it came out of her back, and the purple glow emanating from the sword spread all over her body.
"Hehe, that tickles!" she said. "And ooh, I'm purple all over."
Jason pulled the sword out, and the glowing wound closed up. Lucy, still purple all over, placed her hand on the blade.
"So, on the count of three, we press the button."
As soon as Jason and Lucy pressed the red button, there was a flash of white light that enveloped both of their fields of vision. As soon as it dissipated, Jason was now face to face with Lucy's empty clothes. A t-shirt and denim skirt, were both floating above a pair of shoes, one of them tapping.
"So, did it work?" said Lucy's disembodied voice.
"Why don't you check the mirror?"
The outfit went over to the mirror, and jumped. It moved around, her body language clearly in awe of her alteration.
"Oh my god. This is amazing. I never thought I could..." Lucy paused. "My hair. It's...shorter."
"Well that's weird."
"Oh wait, new reality. If I'm invisible, then it makes sense I'd shave my head, since who's gonna see it?"
Lucy walked over to Jason's bed and sat down on it. She pulled her phone out of her pocket.
"Hey, you wanna have a look at some photos? I wanna see how my life is different."
Jason shrugged and sat down next to her. Lucy scrolled through so many photos on her various social media accounts, and the two of them chuckled at all of them. There were pictures of Lucy with her friends, at formal events, and even a couple where she was cosplaying. But despite the fact that she was invisible in all of them, the pictures weren't fundamentally different - Lucy was an otherwise a normal girl with a strange physical condition.
Lucy's clothes leaned over, and Jason felt something strangely pleasant. It took a while for him to figure out Lucy was hugging him.
"Thanks for this! I think I'm gonna enjoy it for now!"
"You sure you don't wanna change back?"
"No way! I wanna explore this new reality."
