"I wish to know why Sarah seems to be a preppy popular girl, when in fact she's actually a Goth girl." The stone glowed, granting his wish. More information filled Jon's head, before he turned toward Karyn and said "Just like I thought, she's pretending."
"But why? And why would she be pretending for so long?" Karyn shook her head, in disbelief. "I didn't even know they had Goths in grade school."
"I don't think they do. Karyn, the stone told me that she started pretending two years ago."
"Two years? That's impossible. She's always been one of the most popular girls around. It didn't just start two years ago. Jon, I really think that stone is broken. None of this knowledge makes any sense."
"Maybe I need to fill in more blanks." He sighed, seeing that Karyn thought he was wasting his time. But it was his time to waste, even though he really didn't think he was wasting anything. He knew the stone was telling him the truth. It just didn't make a whole lot of sense right now because he didn't have all the information. He needed more. "I wish I knew how Sarah could fool everyone into thinking that she had always been popular, instead of being popular only for the last two years." The stone glowed, granting his wish.
