There were some AEP units menacing the three human dispatchers on duty. The three currently there were paladins and were pretty angry. One of the young men had a hand on the hilt of his sword. His foot was also tapping on the ground angrily. "What's going on guys? Are you okay?" Mason asked as he stepped in the booth. He had been behind me. He then looked at the AEP units and said "What the hell? Who the hell are you guys!?" he pointed at them. They looked at each other and then at us. It did not look like they were hostile to us. There was no way the humans in the booth would be able to take them on and survive. The cyborgs were just too strong for any of them to handle. There were five of them at the moment. I did not want to deal with them. Mason was not equipped for combat. He would be crushed if he tried. I just sighed and said "Did you take our cabs? They are all gone." One of the dispatcher's said "All of them said they wanted to go driving." "Even the ones at the Red Grind." I heard another one add bitterly. That just solved that mystery. "What do you want?" I asked.
All of them walked forward and stared me and Mason down. They were 3 feet away from us. I shifted my eyes to the dispatchers. "I think you have more than deserved a break. Take the rest of the day off." They were quick to get up. They looked at me. One of them said "Are you sure? We can help with the... guests." I shook my head. It would just make things harder. "No. Paul and Brett are out. I will handle this for now. Go rest and come back in the morning." I said firmly. They left without another word about it. I waited until they were completely gone before looking back at the cyborgs. All of them were annoyed that they were being ignored. Especially for the sake of a bunch of humans. Mason was also more than a bit unnerved standing so close. His trembling was not very comforting for me. "Sorry about that. They are not part of the clan. I needed them to leave before we could get back to business." I let them know with a pleased disposition. They did not seem to care either way. I then put a smile on my face and said "How can we help out you guys!? I am the PBJ Clan's clan engineer."
Looking at them, they were all pissed. "It seems all the officers are human. And they are all out." one angrily said. Another said "That doesn't seem too good." I rolled my eyes. "Two of us are here now. You can talk to us. What do you want?" "We wanted to get the officers alone. That's why we had our ambassador get the others out of our hair." a shirtless cyborg said. That was not a good sign. I narrowed my eyes. "Well, you can say whatever you want now that we're here. We're all ears now." I gently encouraged them. 2 AEP units stepped forward. They introduced themselves as 06-002 and 06-003. They shook our hands. They tried to crush our hands, but we were too strong for that. They clearly hated us from the looks they gave us. 06-002 said "Ever since Radioactive Clan resurrected, we've been busy. Making replacement AEP units took time, but it has been a success." "So much so, we decided to split up back into the originally planned Wind and Magnetic Clans." 06-003 smirked. I nodded in understanding. "Are you here to make alliances with us. We'd be willing to agree for free."
