Lisa pressed the Reverse button and waited. A flash from the remote consumed the room and everything was, all bright, and then it was all okay.
Normal even. Lisa opened her eyes and saw Leonard on her bed. "You're back! I cannot believe you were trapped inside that game."
Leonard's eyes went wide. "What game? Lisa what are you doing in my room. If this is one of your dumb experiments I don't have time for it, this is the
last day of summer and I'm getting ready for our alien stakeout tonight!"
These words fell on confused ears to Lisa, who looked towards his wall and saw his laptop shut down, unplugged and seemingly unused right now.
"But you were just-" She looked out the window, where it was seemingly the morning. It was already almost noon by the time she'd ran into Leonard's room earlier, what in the world?
"Y-yeah, it's, one of my experiments! That's it." She said with an uneasy forced grin, and a lousy chuckle.
"Pfft, if you're that eager to experiment on me why don't you just clone me or something? Better than barging in here." He told her.
"Right. I'll get going now."
"Where'd you get that weird remote?" He asked. Lisa looked down at it, still in her hands. "I.. invented it. Yeah! It's my newest proto-type. Don't mess with it okay?"
Right as she was about to walk outside his door, she turned around. "By the way, I used your toothbrush last night. Sorry!"
Leonard immediately got up and ran towards the bathroom. "You w-what?" While he was distracted, she swept under the bed and grabbed a
small pouch. If her intuition right now was correct (And it was), when she'd pressed reverse she'd gone back in time and reversed the days events.
By the time he returned holding his brush, she slipped the pouch into her pocket. "You know this is mine and not yours! Don't touch my freaking stuff!"
To her relief, he was talking about his toothbrush. It was for the best he didn't have that rock, or the remote - he only had it for not even one
day and he'd accidentally got transformed into a computer game character, with that kind of buffoonery he couldn't be trusted with it for his own safety.
"Sorry brah, you know how it goes." She slipped out his room while he screamed.
"I MEAN IT!" Ignoring him, she made it downstairs, headed again to the kitchen and looked again at the pouch. In it was the wishing rock
Leonard had mentioned earlier - so her hypothesis was right! She'd reversed not only Leonard's fate but, the entire day's events.
He hadn't even discovered the wishing rock yet. Everything was in her favor.
She took out the note and read it briefly before putting the magical wishing rock on the table curious what to do with it, if anything.
