The game had engrossed you far more than you’d initially expected, the hours melting away as you kept clicking along.
Weird capitalization, complete gibberish lines, things like that. One time, on the last day, they used the line, “I love you. However, you have to know something.

Before we go further I mean.” Three times in a row! You were half thinking that the game’d glitched out. And it like, really got fucked up after that.
You were scared the thing was gonna crash after that bug! But no, the thing kept chugging along. It was a buggy, but persistent game, if nothing else.

By the time you look down at your phone to indicate the time, it’d already been one in the morning! Jeez, time seemed to fly fast for this game you’d had such low expectations for.

It was just so… engrossing.

You were mostly just trying to figure out if anything, at all, was different, but no, despite how good the writing was, as begrudgingly as you admit, it was the same path, four times in a row.

But then after you apparently choked on that gross ass fly, you did decide that enough was enough. Unfortunately, it was at the game decided that you hadn’t had enough.
Your entire body had betrayed you all at once! A dozen streams of light shot up your arms, all at once, gripped your arm, and you nearly lost all feeling in it.
All you could do was watch at this point.

You swear you could hear the other three squeaking in chorus, like honest to god the sound of balloons rubbing together. It was the weirdest fucking shit.
And you could barely do a thing but look on in horror.

The main Monika had even started gloating! “You know, you really made this too easy, letting me edit your files like that.
The fly getting in the way of the monitor was a bit of a hassle to deal with. I couldn’t really guide it much, compared to the girls.
I didn’t even know that coke thing would work! Lucky me, I guess.”

She shifts to have her hands cinched together behind her back,

“Plus, everyone was so insistent on trying to get your attention too! I could hardly keep them off of you! Trying to slip secret notes by me.
Like, c’mon, who’s stupid enough to miss an ‘SOS’ right in front of their face?”

One of the Monikas jumped a little, accompanied by a little squeaky sound. “Yeah, I noticed that. So unsubtle, Natsuki. Just like your poetry.”

She moves into a pose identical to all the others, “But enough about your inability to pick up on social cues, jeez, you really were a perfect mark, weren’t you?
Ugh, getting off track again, but I think it’s time we moved onto the next stage in our relationship. What do you think, sweetie?”

A dialog choice having the options of “yes” and “definitely” and “absolutely” appear on the screen, “In case you couldn’t tell, I rigged it.”
