He heard the TV turn on, and looked toward the couch. A girl his age was sitting there, flipping through. She looked at him. "What are you staring at?"
"Umm...nothing," he said. "What are you watching?"
She shrugged. "Not sure. I'm sorry my Mom dumped me here and told you to entertain me. But...maybe you, me, and your friend Karyn can hang out. Make the best of it."
"We were going to go hang out in the park," Jon said. This teenage version of Sally wasn't so bad. It seemed like they were friends.
"Fine with me," Sally said.
