It took about an hour to reach Jon's grandfather's house. To get to it, the pair had to pass through two other towns. The house was located a bit into a heavily wooded area. Jon's grandfather had always said that he like the privacy the woods provided. His mother said it reminded her of a place a serial murderer would stay in a horror movie.

The pair entered cautiously, not sure if they were completely safe, even so far from the town. When a stone that could alter the very fabric of reality was involved, one could never be sure of anything. Karyn headed to the kitchen to look around, while Jon entered the living room.

His mind was flooded with memories of all the days he had spent here, his grandfather educating him on all of the artifacts he had found on his previous excursion or telling him tales of his last expedition. He recalled, when they were younger, that his grandmother would have Zoe help her with baking.

That thought, however, only helped to remind him of the situation they were in because his sister had taken the stone.

"Looks like the first thing they did was empty out the kitchen." Karyn said. "Makes sense. I doubt they were planning on eating here, anyway."

"Yeah..." Jon responded, still lost in thought.

"There's a store not too far from here, right?" Karyn asked, remembering from when she had accompanied Jon on visits here. "I think I'm gonna go and get some stuff to eat. I should have enough cash to get something to keep us from starving."

"That's probably a good idea." Jon said, snapping out of his thoughts. "And I think I'll have a look around while you do that. See if there's something around here that may be able to help."

With that, Karyn went out to get food, and Jon stayed to look for information that may help the pair in stopping Athena's plans, whatever they may be.

His first stop was his grandfather's study. His mother had mentioned to him only a day before that they had yet to pack anything in here up. Mainly because they didn't know where to start with all the junk his grandfather had collected and kept in here.

He looked around and was hit with the same problem. If there was information on how he could stop Athena, he had no idea where he could look for it. His eyes went fell onto his grandfather's bookcase. He had loved to read, and always had a book with him whenever he had visited.

Jon saw a worn leather book on one of the shelves, with strange, gold symbols on the side. He had seen his grandfather with it on more than one occasion. He reached for the book, and removed it from the shelf. He opened it up, and a white envelope fell from inside it. Jon looked down, and on the envelope, his name was written in his grandfather's handwriting.
