Well, I used to write a lot more here...It wasn't about well-written. You had two separate scenes in a single post here...I broke it up because my idea was in between. Sometimes, I write multiple options.
I also felt that Karyn and Jon being friends...I wanted to make her a bit more sympathetic to him.
I also added the two branches...one where it went off with Linda becoming Karyn's mother, the other where Jon keeps his parents, but they end up like Karyn's parents...which makes you wonder what happens to his siblings...
