He had lost his disguise and now was completely covered in the armor plating. His eyes and hair were the standard colors now. Lady Fingers was coughing a bit more but was still on her feet. The bards were helping. Jesse was able to flank the AEP unit and they were working together. They simply did not have the health to withstand the encroaching gas and heal the others. Jesse did not have a gas mask either, but was a much higher level. Even he succumbed to it eventually though. The thief and the one with the suit had masks. I had my magic. 10-002 had to now die. I took my sword and charged him. I sent a pillar of fire down and it ignited the green gas.
Quite predictably, it caused an explosion that tore him apart from the inside out. The shockwave knocked us down to the floor. The AEP unit was very much dead. That is something that was the conclusion from the very beginning. It was essentially the end of the fight. The others were totally immobilized. The thief beheaded 08-001 with his own swords. Once he was dead, the nanites making the blades fell apart. The same thing happened with 10-001. The fight was now over. Lady Fingers fell to her knees. I was impressed that she was able to hold out so long. She was in really bad shape. I had to touch her directly to take away the poisoned state she was in. It was time for me to go. They were waiting for me in the car, and I wanted to leave. "You could be a valuable asset in the fight against the cyborgs." the man in the suit said. I shrugged. "I have a clan of PEP and AEP units to take care of. I will be there to kill the rest of Toxic Clan. Those fuckers declared war on all of us like idiots and it's time to bury them." was what I said. Shaking his head, Captain Dallas said "If you are going to be collaborating with them, that is still a crime. You are now a person of interest and a major suspect." That was rough. "How about you pretend you didn't hear that and I leave? It will benefit us all. We don't have to kill each other, and you get all the valuable info we learned here today. The police and government had no clue the hub was in that bank. They just saw Phobia goons hit it. Now we can have a full assault on it."
Since it was true, they looked at each other. Captain Austin groaned as he put his cuffs away. "Fine. Get out of here, but don't act so surprised when we find you and drag you down to our station for questioning." he barked at me. I told them that the battle was done and everything was handled. It caused the bards to sigh in relief. "Lucky for us, we got our prayers answered. Manny was killed. DJ Sparks and Lucy were fine." 6835jEWL said. 89Magic5y7y nodded and said "I think we're going to get a raise for helping out here." "I don't know. They can be pretty stingy when they want to be." 02u8underSeaQueen208 said, hedging his bets. Jesse sighed and said "Tell me about it." I just looked at them and nodded. It had nothing to do with me. I was not coming back. "I'm going now." I told them. They all waved me on as I walked to the car. Once I got to the car, I got in the back. Dylan was in the driver's seat.
