Lucifer plucked the yellow ring from the box and grinned. The ring of Pride was known to instill an intense feeling of superiority into whomever wore it. Throughout history, it had caused many men to do horrible things to reach a place in society that they felt was worthy of them. Also, it caused them to look down on everyone else, whom they saw as inadequate compared to themselves.
He teleported into Jon's room and snuck the finger onto his hand. He grinned wider as he did so. "With this ring in play, I doubt he'll even last a day." he said as he returned to his lair, waiting for morning and Jon's awakening.
