Jon's body felt different. Smaller, maybe weaker -- but, more importantly, with no morning erection.
Jon felt the general area, but instead of the boxer shorts of the night before, there was a smaller, tighter pair of cotton underwear that seemed to be covering nothing at all.
Jon jumped out of bed -- the bed that now had rose-colored sheets instead of dark blue ones -- and looked down to see a yellow tank-top and matching panties on a body that was decidedly feminine, with wider hips, a narrower waist, and a present but barely noticeable pair of breasts.
The room had changed substantially. The walls were painted a light pink. The dresser and desk were a matching set, white with flowers painted on the drawers. A wall-mounted shelf held several porcelain dolls. A poster showed a close-up of feet in ballet slippers, only the toes on the ground. The open closet door revealed dresses, skirts, and about 25 pairs of shoes, some with high heels.
This all startled Jon enough that she screamed, at a piercing soprano pitch.
Zoe burst through the door, mostly dressed but only wearing one boot. Her eyes went wide, and she turned and yelled, "MOM!"
Within seconds, Jon's mother Susan was attempting to comfort her former son, as the two sat on the bed. Jon rested her head on her mother's shoulder, unaccustomed to the shoulder-length hair she now possessed, which dangled down her mother's back.
"Oh, honey, you must have gotten a full dose from the Feminine Fairy," said Susan. "I'm so sorry."
Zoe was leaning against the wall next to the door. "What is it, like a ten-million-to-one shot that she'd hit a guy?"
Susan ignored her and continued speaking to Jon. "I know this all seems very strange to you. But I'm here to help you get through it. I've seen it before. One of my best friends in high school was visited by the Masculine Fairy, and turned into a boy. But he did adjust, and we still keep in touch, and he's had a very nice life. Married, with two kids --"
"At least the Feminine Fairy changes things, too, so we don't have to buy Jon a whole new wardrobe," said Zoe. "I'm sure everyone who gets hit by the Boob Fairy wishes their bras changed, at least."
"Zoe, if you're not going to be helpful, leave," ordered Susan.
"Fine, I've got to go in to school early anyway." Zoe started to leave, then turned around and said, "Bye, Jon-ette."
"Don't listen to her," said Susan. "I'm pretty sure your name's not Jon-ette. Anywhere it's written down, it should have changed to your girl's name -- part of the Feminine Fairy's magic." She thought for a moment and then said, "You know, I should call someone..."
