When they arrived at Sarah's house, Jon turned to Karyn. "So, how do you want to play this? Try to break in or just use the direct approach?"
"Direct. She's got the gemstone around her neck. All we have to do is grab it when we see her. Easy."
"And what if she makes a wish with it before you take it away from her?" Athena asked.
"She won't," Jon said. "I don't even think she knows she can make wishes with it."
"How do you know that?" Athena asked.
"Well, if she had, don't you think she'd wish to be ruler of the world or something?"
"Maybe. But you can't be sure. Didn't the letter that came with the gemstone say something about anyone not hearing the wish would think that reality had always been that way?"
"Okay, yeah. But ..."
"Where's Karyn?" Athena suddenly asked.
"Huh?" Jon was so wrapped up in his argument with Athena that he didn't notice Karyn walking up to Sarah's front door. When he finally did, he tried to stop her. They were all in this together. She never should have done gone alone. "Karyn, wait!"
