Jon called back home again, filling his sister in on what had happened. She suggested that they try to take the gemstone away from Sarah (which Jon totally agreed to), but his sister also wanted Athena there. With her knowledge of the occult, Zoe said, she might come in handy.

So, Karyn and Jon waited until Athena showed up. Jon really didn't care too much for Athena. Not just because she was Zoe's friend (he rarely got along with his sister - minus today, of course), but also because she was into witchcraft. He already didn't like that his mom was a witch, so having another witch stopping by every now and then just made it worse. But now circumstances had changed. He saw the necessity for her being around. She could help them a lot, if they got into any trouble with Sarah. And knowing Sarah, that was almost a certainty.

"There she is," Karyn said.

Jon turned around and saw Zoe's friend walking towards them. Long black hair with red highlights, tattered black dress, red corset, fishnet gloves, and black boots. Jon didn't know how someone (especially a girl) could walk around in public like that and feel fine about it.

He shook his head, pushing away his thoughts of disapproval, and greeted her when she met up with them.

"So, are you ready?" Athena asked.

Jon and Karyn nodded, and they went to Sarah's house.
