It would be needed to cover up all the big shots coming for the talk. The line was a block long when we finally got parked and made our way over. I scoffed at them and leaned over to 03-002. "I don't want to wait like a loser. We have to be on the VIP list, right? We're like crucial to this meeting. Let's cut the line." He nodded. It looked like waiting in line was not something he wanted to do either. As we were walking to the front, I heard a voice call out to me. I looked at the line and saw Dylan. He was near the halfway point. "What the hell are you doing!? I've been here for an hour." he said. The surly living bomb was not who I would have expected to be on a peace mission. He scoffed. "What? Were you expecting Bryant and Francine. They only appear when things go bad. They don't ask questions. I can end things whenever I want." he told us. "Well, this is my leader's representative. I'll be his bodyguard, so don't get any idea." He turned away. "Like I would, Brianne. You better not try to bully me." Dylan pouted for some reason. I told him that we were going to the front. He glared.
Doing our best to ignore his malignant gaze, 03-002 leaned over and harshly whispered in my ear. "Why is that AEP unit so friendly with you!?" he hissed. I explained that he was from Radioactive Clan. "Yes. They were not too pleased that you gave their AEP units human names and had them present in odd ways." he said as he took another glance at Dylan. I just shrugged. "Brett has a way with them that even we don't get." I said in response. Paul also truly did not like his sense of style for our own members. We went to the front and were met by two bouncers. They had a strong familial resemblance. The younger one went right up to us and looked us up and down. "Where the fuck do you think you're going!? Back of the fucking line." he barked. I just looked at him. He was shorter than me and I just looked over to the elder one. "Bring your kid to work day?" I teased. That set him off. "The fuck did you just say!?" he spat as he drew an electrified baton. That was where the elder one stepped in. he pat the kid on the shoulders and said "Relax there, little bro. It's not worth a hassle."
