"No, you're ..." Before Jon could say "not," Zelda's wish about his mother took effect. Since he hadn't heard it, he -- like his brother and sister -- thought their mother had always been Sarah. So, from his perspective, his mother had never swapped.
And since he thought that, he'd known better than to get into a confrontation with her. Zelda suddenly wasn't alone in Jon's room. Jon was there. "Mom took everyone to a movie and dinner. What do you want to do?"
Zelda blinked a few times. But then she smiled, not caring what had changed. She hid the stone out of his view. "I can think of some things."
