The day had been interestingly weird and full of odd new eye candy for Jon. He wasn't sure he liked it. The changes in other people had changed him.
In this reality, he was a bit hen-picked. Some of his guy friends had come up to him and complained they never saw him anymore, because he would sit with Melissa and her friends during lunch...she had dragged him to the mall to watch her try on clothes, etc. He liked the physical part of things, although they'd never gotten anywhere near sex, and he wasn't sure this Jon ever had, but Melissa, he could tell, was really into him.
Classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday ended later for him than Tuesday and Thursday. There were kids wandering around the halls, chatting, getting things out of their lockers.
Melissa was waiting for him at his locker when he got there. "Come on," she said, "You can walk me home," she told him. "Maybe tell me what's been bothering you all day."
He was about to respond when Melissa suddenly changed. Her long hair morphed into short hair, and lightened to blonde. A pair of fashionable glasses appeared on her face, which changed, perhaps to reflect a different parentage. Her clothes changed as well, to something more sedate and mature. "Excuse me," she said. "You're blocking my locker."
He moved out of the way and looked around, suddenly lost. Everyone had changed. It was safe to say Jon knew a lot of people at school. But he didn't know everyone, and he didn't know them all well. He hadn't limited his wish to people he knew. He'd said all the girls at his school. It was clear by her body language that Melissa wasn't very familiar with him anymore.
"Hey, big bro," a voice said from behind him. "You want company walking home?" He turned.
