Jon thought about his family, about how his siblings treated him. Mikey never really listened to him, and his sister was downright confrontational. He was the oldest sibling, but he felt like he never had their respect. They always seemed to listen to their mom, though. Even if Zoe was a bit more reluctant in that regard, they both looked up to her. That was when Jon got his idea.
"I wish everybody would treat me just like they treat my mother," Jon said.
As soon as he said it he realized it was a vague wish. He should have taken the time to think it through, work out the details. He had let his curiosity get the better of him, wondering what it would be like if his brother and sister showed him the same kind of respect they showed their mother.
But he had said "just like" his mother. He wondered how literally the stone would take him, but after what happened that morning he figured anything was possible. He cursed his stupidity, but realized that, at least, he still had the stone. If it didn't work out, he'd find a way to reverse it. He took a deep breath and headed downstairs, wondering how his life might have changed.
