When Randy's Literature class was over, he made his way out into the hall, feeling just as empty as when the class started. Everywhere he walked, he went out of his way to look at girls, but he still didn't feel horny, like he did just one day ago. It was gone, completely gone. Having those kinds of feelings were normal for him, but now since they were gone, it felt like part of himself was missing. And he didn't like it.
As he opened his locker, he adjusted his glasses. They seemed to have been slipping off his nose. He just wasn't used to wearing them. After he got his books out for second period, he closed his locker and was about to walk away, but instead he got tripped. After he hit the floor, he turned around and saw Steve Farber looking down at him.
"Remember, dweeb. Sixth period. You better have my homework done, or you'll regret it." Then Steve walked away, leaving Randy to pick up all of his books.
Why did Steve have to be so mean? He never remembered Steve being that mean when they were friends. But, of course, Randy had a completely different point-of-view then. He was getting a whole new perspective on things, living his life as a geek.
