Zoe's eyes opened and she smiled. It was finally Friday. A few days ago she would have been excited because of her brother's party, but that life (that nightmarish life) was behind her. Ahead of her was a bright future of popularity, fashion, boys, and sex. She hated her old gothic life and she wondered why she even liked looking like a vampire-wannabe in the first place. It was so disgusting. If only her brother had changed too. He was so freakish as a Goth boy.
In just about twelve hours was the big football game. And she would be leading her fellow cheerleaders in their cheers. It was so exciting.
She giggled, thinking about how much fun she'd have. Then she got out of bed and got ready for school.
Sarah's eyes opened and looked around her darkened gothic room. She smirked, liking what she saw. Only a few days before, she hated all this Goth stuff. But now she loved it and certainly preferred it to her old life. Thinking about her old preppy life made her want to vomit. Why did she even like being that way? So happy and bubbly and pink. Yuck. And not even showing the least bit of individuality.
Before the swap, she had been looking forward to the big game, but now she anticipated something else: Jon's party. She remembered seeing him the first time at school on Tuesday. She remembered how disgusted she felt at his presence. Now she felt disgusted by that memory. Jon was hot, especially when he wore those black skirts. She had no right to think that he was a freak.
Sarah swung herself out of bed and started to get ready.
